Reaching schools in Wales together for the next generation
Our Vision
New Wine Cymru, in partnership with KICK, is launching a nationwide initiative to place church-based schools workers into as many schools as possible across Wales.
We believe this is a pivotal moment. The Quiet Revival report and wider cultural observations point to a growing spiritual openness, especially among Generation Z. Young people across Wales are hungry for meaning, hope, and authentic community — and churches are uniquely positioned to serve them.
Placing a trained schools worker in local schools, rooted in a New Wine Cymru aligned local church, is one of the most strategic and timely steps we can take to support the spiritual development of this generation.
Through sport, dance, chaplaincy, mentoring, pastoral support, and relational presence, our shared hope is that every young person in Wales will have an opportunity to know and experience the love of God for themselves.
How the Initiative Will Roll Out
This national initiative will grow in phases, beginning with a pilot region:
Pilot Regions (2025–2026)
- North Cardiff & West Valleys
- South East & Central (Including Cardiff)
Each region will host a consultation day where church leaders can explore, pray, and register their interest. For more information about KICK, click here
