He is the pioneer of Alpha\, an introduction to the Christian faith run by all the major Christian denominations in 169 countries. He is married to Pippa\, and together they write a commentary on the Bible in One Year – www.bibleinoneyear.org Nicky also hosts the podcast ‘Leadership Conversations with Nicky Gumbel’.  \n\n\n\nNicky read law at Trinity College\, Cambridge\, Theology at Oxford and practised as a barrister from 1977-1983. He joined HTB as a curate in 1986 and became vicar in 2005. He has written many books including Questions of Life and The Jesus Lifestyle.

DESCRIPTION:Next Session  May 20 2021 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30pm \n\n\n\nLeading your Church into a Healing Culture\n\n\n\nThis course is for leaders and teams who long to see the healing ministry of Jesus released in and through the local Church as a lifestyle.  \n\n\n\nThe course explores the vital place of a healing culture and how it can be nurtured and maintained. The Leading Church into a culture of healing course\, will be both biblical in its equipping and practical in its outworking.  \n\n\n\nIt is recommended that the senior leader and team attend this four-session course together\, so that together\, they can set and nurture the culture of healing for the whole church. \n\n\n\nThe Course will be led by Julian Richards and Bruce Collins \n\n\n\nJulian founded Cornerstone Church with his wife Sarah and leads New Wine Cymru Wales. Cornerstone is known for serving its community\, new christians and regular healings. New Wine Wales prioritises leadership church and mission. With nearly 700 Leaders from 22 denominations collaborating together. As NWC Churches have worked together\, Wales has seen 1000’s of people make confession of faith and experience healing in this current season. \n\n\n\nNew Wine Cymru is committed to the healing and prophetic ministry of the Holy Spirit\, as modelled by Jesus. Growing in a naturally supernatural model that is biblical\, pastorally responsible and appropriate to this generation.  \n\n\n\nBruce was born in South Africa  and was Team Rector of the Roxeth Team Ministry from 1990 to 2003. He served on the New Wine England Leadership team from 1997 to 2011\, overseeing the development of its English and international networks. In 2007 he moved to South Wales and is member of  the New Wine Cymru Wales national leadership team. He has travelled extensively teaching on healing and prophetic ministry and is the author Jesus Gospel Jesus way. Mojtaba gave his life to Christ and joined the local secret House Church\, straight after seeing His brother become a Christian and how his life turnaround completely. A life changing experience. In a short period of time and after rapid church growth Mojtaba stepped into a leadership position in the Church. \n\n\n\nIn 2009\, Mojtaba and eight other Christians were arrested and charged for Practicing Christianity in Iran. Thankfully he only received a probational sentence. Nevertheless\, he had a strong conviction to carry on his work in the House Church. Then in 2012. He explains: \n\n\n\n“On a cold winter day\, the police raided the House Church meeting. It was terrible. The children were crying while the police officers were shouting at the parents. The other leaders and I were separated from the rest. Then we were thrown into prison.   \n\n\n\nMojtaba’s time in prison was full of uncertainties. He was incarcerated in a packed cell with some of the vilest criminals in Iran with terrible crimes to their case files. On top of that\, the prison house seemed like an impregnable fortress. As prisoners\, Mojtaba and other inmates were surrounded by walls to the extent that it seemed impossible to have access to Bibles. \n\n\n\nHelp came from an unexpected source. There was a prison Imam\, who came daily to pray with the Muslim prisoners. Apparently\, the imam was so impressed about the commitment of Mojtaba and other Christian inmates\, that he decided to help them.One day\, the Imam brought printouts of the Bible in English as an English lesson. One Christian who spoke English very well translated everything into Farsi\, in a way that the Christian inmates were able to read and share the scriptures together.   \n\n\n\nMojtaba’s second prison sentence lasted three years. He was released in 2015\, when He left Iran. He currently lives in the United Kingdom with his Hanna.

He has written several best-selling books including Why Jesus?\, Questions of Life\, and The Jesus Lifestyle. Having initially trained as a barrister\, Nicky went on to oversee Holy Trinity Brompton – a large central London church. Married to Pippa\, they now work to support Alpha globally. They are also the authors of a daily Bible commentary called the ‘Bible in One Year’ which has over two million global subscribers.  \n\n\n\n\n\nPaul Williams\n\n\n\nPaul Williams is Chief Executive of Bible Society having previously worked for over a decade in business in London and then as an academic theologian in Canada. Paul brings prayerful and critical consideration\, leadership expertise\, and a background in economics\, business\, political philosophy and theology to the Church’s missional engagement with contemporary culture. His recent book\, Exiles on Mission: How Christians Can Thrive in a Post-Christian World explores the experience of living as Christians in the 21st century.
